Disney is Working on a Live-Action Remake of Snow White!

It’s the new trend. If Marvel and DC are busy making live-action superhero films, Disney is on a roll with remakes of their classic animated films as well. You know, for the little princes and princesses in all of us.

The newest announcement by Disney to get a live-action treatment? Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!

Disney is Working on a Live-Action Remake of "Snow White"

According to Hollywood Reporter, The Girl on the Train screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson will write the script for Snow White, while La La Land song writers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will write Snow White’s new original songs.

Disney’s remakes from the past years include Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, Cinderella, and The Jungle Book, which all have been box office successes. On the other hand, already on the line-up for upcoming releases in the next years include Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Dumbo, Mulan, and The Lion King. Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson as Belle, is up next on the roster, set to hit the theaters on March 2017.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is Disney’s first-ever animated film release, which came out in 1937.
