In 2017, runners from all over the world flocked to the island of Siargao in Surigao del Norte to run for the mangroves. This year, 2018, we are running once again for the island of Siargao. This time, we are running for a bigger cause. We are running for zero waste Siargao.
Together with Mr. Euclid Cezar of C&G Manufacturing Company and in coordination with the municipality of Del Carmen, Siargao International Marathon 2018 will help in bringing in zero waste management technology. Siargao International Marathon’s second year of implementation is a testament to the solid efforts of the province of Surigao del Norte in maintaining the pristine beauty of Siargao island, as well as promoting sports and eco-tourism.
Participants for this event may now register through the RunRio website and also have the option to book their direct flights from Manila via Skyjet, Cebu Pacific, and Philippine Airlines.
