These Two Filipinas Sing About What It’s Like Having Male Genitals in Catchy Song

For all the women out there reading this, did you ever stop to wonder what it must be like to have male genitals? The thought must have crossed your mind at least once in your life. In fact, you might start thinking about it more frequently now that you’ve got a new crude song to be LSS to thanks to two talented ladies of the Filipino comedy channel SOLID OK.

Sari and Chi Estrada made waves across social media over a week ago when they put out a seemingly serious song about the phallus. Aptly titled “Ano Kaya Feeling Ng May Etits?” or simply “Etits,” the track is an acoustic ballad exploring different scenarios that are usually exclusive to biological males such as naming their genitals, peeing anywhere, and not being able to experience the excruciating pain of having monthly periods.

Since premiering the video on Youtube on September 29, 2021, the two have received “overwhelmingly positive” responses from netizens and even caught the attention of famed singer-songwriter Ebe Dancel, who they still can’t believe liked their official Facebook page.

“The response has been overwhelmingly positive,” Sari and Chi told When In Manila. “It’s great to know that we’re not the only ones who are curious about the experience of having a penis! But even more special than this is how our song has been able to make a lot of people, both male and female, feel heard.”

Etits” isn’t the first comedy song that Sari and Chi wrote and performed for the public. The two sisters have produced quite a few for SOLID OK studio, of which Sari is the Creative Director, with “Sexy Panties” as the first original to ever be released for public consumption. “We have written plenty of songs before, all of which are meant only for our ears. (Haha!),” they noted.

Sari and Chi describe their songwriting process as “finding honest and authentic ways” to communicate the points that they want to drive across regarding their chosen topic.

“When coming up with a topic, it’s all about finding something that really resonates with us and makes us laugh. The songwriting then becomes a process of finding honest and authentic ways to express our points of view on the matter,” they said.

“We start by making sure that the songs are funny to the two of us. From there, we make sure that the lyrics and storytelling are clear for audiences. Going about things this way never feels difficult to us because we always prioritize having fun. We’re mindful of not putting pressure on ourselves, and we take long breaks from working on a song if we feel the need to.”

As collaborators, they also make sure that they each come up with things they want to put into the song, such as lyrics or chords, and then find a way to make it all come together seamlessly.

“We do a lot of independent work first. We send each other voice messages of ideas for lyrics, melodies, guitar riffs. After we’ve each done our homework, we then meet up, put everything together, and have multiple practice sessions,” they shared. “In almost every session, we find something to tweak. We strongly believe in the power of refining your work and never settling on the first draft.”

Among all the songs that Sari and Chi have written, “Etits” is by far among their favorites considering how hard they worked on it and the subsequent reactions from the public that they were able to achieve.

“We really challenged ourselves with it. It took us ten months to complete it and it’s been the most fun song to write so far,” the two gushed.

“We’ve also received a lot of comments asking for our song to be released on Spotify. This is already in our plans, so it really excites us to know that there is an audience waiting for our stuff to come out.”

You can find Sari and Chi on Instagram and stay up-to-date with their future projects, such as an upcoming EP and their very own podcast.
