The social enterprise Mana was born from the word, Pamana, which means to pass down from generation to generation. Mana aims to connect the experience and craftsmanship of our local workers with younger generations.

Working hand in hand with Mang Jhun, Mana creates shoes that can be worn for everyday activities. Mana currently sells men’s loafers, women’s sandals, and unisex mules, all of which are made with 100% genuine leather and handpicked by the maker to ensure the utmost quality at a reasonable price point. The loafers and mules come in two colors: Mahogany and Charcoal, while the sandals are only available in Mahogany and Nude.

As a social enterprise, 100% of the profits go to Mang Jhun, the current partner and local sapatero. Mang Jhun learned the art of shoemaking from his parents back in the 1960’s, as their family was one of the first sapateros in Marikina. Over 30 years have passed since he took up the craft and he still continues to pursue it with the same passion he had starting out.
