Run for the Warriors 2k14: Fundraising Run for the Cancer Warriors Foundation
The event “Run for the Warriors 2k14” is held in Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill on September 21, 2014. Our rates range from P400 for 3K, P550 for 5k, and P700 for 10k. Assembly will be at 4:30 am.
This is a fundraising school project for the benefit of the Cancer Warriors Foundation. Cancer Warriors Foundation deals with outpatient kids with terminal cancer.
The distances will be color coded as well through strips of cloth that the participants need to tie on their choice of body part. 3k runners will be the yellow warriors representing hope and the bright future, 5k runners will be the blue warriors representing the pain and loneliness of long cancer treatment, while 10k runners will be the red warriors representing the courage and strength of kids and their families fighting cancer.
Don’t forget that September is International Childhood Cancer Awareness month and we are celebrating this in collaboration with the International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organization. The founder of Cancer Warriors Foundation, James Auste, will be joining the Berlin Marathon 42k for this same purpose.

Registration Dates
We will be putting up a registration booth at McKinley Hills’ Venice Piazza near the fountain. The registration dates are as follows:
Sept. 8 (Monday)
Sept. 11, 12, 13 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
Sept. 15 (Monday)
Sept. 18, 19, 20 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
at 11am to 2pm

About the StandStrong Team
Our group, StandStrong Team, is a group of entrepreneurship students that was created for our subject, Experiential Learning 5 in our school, Entrepreneurs School of Asia. This subject aims to instill the students the experience of helping our chosen charity, the Cancer Warriors Foundation, and raise environmental awareness through raising funds by organizing an event. We have decided to hold a fun run event to be able to showcase our chosen beneficiary and sponsors.
