UFC: Ronda Rousey Thought of Suicide after Loss to Holm

Looks like Ronda Rousey’s loss to Holly Holm took a bigger hit at her than any of us would have thought.

Rousey

During an interview in the Ellen DeGeneres show, Rousey revealed that she thought of taking her own life after her surprising loss to Holm last  Novemnber.

“In the medical room, I was down in the corner, I was sitting in the corner and I was like ‘what am I anymore if I’m not this?’…  “And I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself in that exact second, I’m nothing.” she said in the interview.

According to reports, Rousey’s father committed suicide when she was eight.

Rousey managed to remain undefeated until UFC 193; during her time as an undefeated champion, she starred in movies, had many endorsements, and ended up in magazine covers.

After the loss, it all seemed to have taken a bad turn for Rousey. Fortunately, she had her boyfriend, fellow UFC fighter Travis Brown, to help her out.

But months of rest did Rousey good and she’s back stronger than ever. Rousey is still looking forward to a rematch against Holm in the octagon. Here’s a clip of the Ellen DeGeneres interview:
