I am part of the minority who felt extremely sad when Ben Affleck announced he would no longer be playing Batman in the next Batman movie. It’s not that he doesn’t want to, I’m sure. However, it looks like the DCEU is looking to cast a much younger Bruce Wayne… and rumor has it that Robert Pattinson, most popular for his role as Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ series, may be next in line.
On Twitter, BossLogic posted a photo of Robert with a Batman shadow, saying, “A choice that I never would have thought to try, but been hearing some background chatter about Robert Pattinson being looked at. If the talks (source) are true, then all of our predictions were wrong. This might be your new Bruce.”

So far, this is just a rumor, though, and no shortlist for the role has yet been released. However, Edward Cullen-ness aside, maybe this isn’t such a bad idea? What do you think? Who would you like to see in the role of (a younger) Bruce Wayne?
