SPOILER ALERT: The first season of Netflix show Riverdale dramatically closed with Archie Andrews’ father Fred getting shot at Pops, and this new clip for the second season shows Archie fighting back.

In the short clip, Archie is taking matters into his own hands by returning to Pops with a gun. There are other scenes with Alice Cooper telling her daughter Betty that “this is a war” and Jughead Jones saying that these are “desperate times.”
Since the show premiered, Riverdale has become a pop culture phenomenon, with an average of 1.69 million people watching the episodes. Rotten Tomatoes said, “Riverdale offers an amusingly self-aware reimagining of its classic source material that proves eerie, odd, daring, and above all addictive.”
The second season will return on October 11, 2017.
