Rihanna is World’s Richest Female Musician

Business is booming with two of our favorite music artists. Just last Tuesday, it was heard that Jay-Z now has a net worth of a billion dollars. Reports say that he is the first hip-hop artist to ever do so.

A few hours after that, Umbrella singer Rihanna was officially named the richest female musician. According to Forbes, the estimated riches of the singer now reaches $600 million dollars. This put her ahead of Madonna who is worth $570 million, Celine Dion who is worth $450 million, and Beyoncé who is worth $400 million.

Now how did she amass that much amount of wealth? Aside from her music sales, a big part of her rise to riches can be credited to her business ventures in makeup and lingerie, according to Forbes. She is partners with French luxury goods giant LVMH run by billionaire Bernard Arnault. She and LVMH co-own the makeup line Fenty Beauty which launched in September 2017 at Sephora and at FentyBeauty.com. It reportedly reached a whopping $100 million in sales in just the first few weeks! That’s a lot of money in a short amount of time!

Following her success with Fenty Beauty, the singer started Fenty Maison, a clothing line in partnership with LVMH. The luxury fashion house launched last May and was praised by some people for its inclusivity as it features a wide range of sizes.

The 31-year-old singer looks like her game face is always on when it comes to business. She was serious when she wrote the song ‘Work’. Rihanna herself sings it 6 times to be exact!

“You see me I be work, work, work, work, work, work”
