Taking the time to appreciate a work of art is a conversation with its maker, its history, its tradition, its meaning, its questions and its form. It is in these conversations that we fully understand the connection between art and life. Therefore in our journey to share our art to the public, we look back at our past in order to dene our identity.

In this exhibit, young artists orient themselves on a tradition of art-making entirely based on our nation’s history. Seeing Philippine art tradition through the lens of contemporary times, young artists share with you paintings, drawings, new media, digital art, videos, and sculptures, among others that articulate not only an understanding but an integration of this new knowledge to their personal journey with art.

Let’s look back and learn more about our selves.
