When in Manila and you saw (or missed) the soap opera from hell  that is August: Osage County, Repertory Philippines is back with the funniest comedy ever made for theater, Noises Off.

Noises Off is a play within a play, and tells the story of a moody director and his team of hapless performers who have to stage a sex farce called Nothing On. Noises Off is written by Michael Frayn in 1982, after realizing that what was happening backstage in theater was funnier than the scenes on stage.

Nothing On or Noises Off?

Because it is kind of like Inception that it is a play within a play, it can get quite confusing at first, because the actors are playing two roles: their characters, and the characters their characters are playing. We get two plots, the story of Noises Off and Nothing On.
