This coming-of-age movie, which premiered in 2011, follows two aspiring musicians, Odie (Jason Abalos) and his childhood friend and secret crush Irene (Glaiza de Castro), who eventually form a band. Along with drummer Junfour (Alwyn Uytingco) and guitarist Mo (Ketchup Eusebio), the group soon makes their mark in the underground music scene, earning the attention of a cocky lead singer of a popular band.

“Rakenrol” is filled with laughs, heartache, tenderness, and, best of all, some of the greatest Filipino music in existence. This is definitely a movie you should add to your “must-watch” list, whether or not you’re a lover of Pinoy rock and roll!
