When In Manila and you seek for an earphone that will give you sound that is uncolored and represents the exact recording of the artist, the Vsonic GR series comes to my mind like a snap but with that hefty price tag, I’m sure some will reconsider. Luckily, I found the Promac Pro 3 which is very affordable, and has a very balanced sound. Most consumer priced products usually cater to colored sound or boosted bass, but with the Promac Pro 3, I was surprised at how balanced and flat the sound was.
Packaging/Build: The packaging is a fairly common plastic packaging although it comes with a semi-hardshell case and with an enclosure inside to roll and keep the Promac Pro 3. Pretty neat.
With the build of the Promac Pro 3, the design comes out like a younger cousin of the JAYS earphones. Having flat cables and small accentuated driver housings, they fall in a similar ear hugging pattern. Although the Promac Pro 3 has an angled driver which gives a more secure and deeper fit. I like how the fit is good with the Promac Pro 3 because of the angled design. I don’t see it causing fit issues and falling out easily on anyone.  The Promac Pro 3 also has a mic and music controls which are almost exactly the same as the stock Apple earbud’s control and mic. I would just prefer it if the Promac Pro 3 came with more manageable ear tips.
Sound Quality: Incredibly balanced and flat sound for the price! It has that vintage like sound. Vinyl lovers and hardcore audiophiles preferring flat sound might find this as a gem! Due to the Promac Pro 3 being flat sounding, the sound quality often shape-shifts depending on how a track is recorded or mastered. Playing MTV Unplugged recorded songs, they become a little dark in nature. While playing through Japanese artist AZU’s sweet sounding vocals and laid-back songs, the Promac Pro 3 shows of treble sparkle. The detail and clarity is above average while the mids have good body. It’s very hard to find flat sounding earphones like this specially for the price, so I really see the Promac Pro 3 to be a gem. Better grab it now!
