Harry Potter is one of the world’s biggest fandoms. Apart from the bestselling line of novels and its equally successful film adaptations, there are spinoff novels and films, a play, and even a website dedicated to all things magical. Now, that website (called Pottermore if you’re not familiar), is launching a worldwide book club on everything Potter!
Pottermore will be launching a book club which will invite fans to reread (and newbies to finally get on the Hogwarts Express train) the seven-part series and discuss them in an online forum. Each week, the official Twitter account @wwbookclub will announce themes for discussion.
The Wizarding World Book Club will launch in June, in time for the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the first novel.
All you need to do to join is to sign up for a Pottermore account and solemnly swear that you will read one book per month. There will also be a Book Club section on the website where readers can get rewards for their reading progress.
