The very first portrait jam in Manila dubbed as Portrait 360° made its successful debut last Saturday, 5th August at The Studio, Fully Booked, Bonifacio Global City.

Portraits 360° made a splash by bringing in people of diverse backgrounds to try portrait drawing and modelling. The entire event was divided into three sets where the sitters – individual, couple, and group, posed for 30 minutes each while a group of artists freely sketched them in different media. Following each set, participants were entertained with a heart-rending spoken poetry, as well as captivating acoustic performances from soloists and Timog, an acoustic band from Manila.  During each break, everyone enjoyed the “Stamp & Sell” segment where artists stamped values on their art and then displayed their work for sale. These activities made the event more exciting as every guest offered a chance to interact and share techniques with one another. Each sitter, on the other hand, enjoyed the opportunity of bringing home one chosen artwork as a keepsake.

As this is the very first event to be held in their newest studio, Joana Lorenzo, Events Manager of Fully Booked, said: “it’s indeed a great event and the best way to kick off for this venue”. The Studio offers a cool and relaxed vibe, further elevated by the graffiti murals done by Herakut, an artist duo from Germany.

Fully Booked, the official venue also offered a wide-range of excellent art materials with such brands as Brevilliere’s Creta Color, Royal Talens, Bruynzeels and Jolly’s Supersticks Aqua. These arrays encouraged the artists to experiment with different types of art materials combinations in their works.

Art Plus Magazine, Doodle Arts Magazine, Inquirer.net and WhenInManila.com served as the official media partners.
