Electronic Arts (EA) has officially put up the third installment of popular game Plants VS Zombies on soft launch this week and residents of the Philippines will be among the first to try it out!
Plants VS Zombies 3Â is noticeably different from its predecessors now that it has a 3D style and is played vertically. The game mechanics are still the same, wherein you’re tasked with defending your house from the horde of zombies with a variety of plants.
However, there have been changes made with the gameplay. Sunflowers are no longer planted and will instead generate sun automatically every three seconds. Every level is divided into two stages with a break in the middle called “Taco Time” during which you can change your plant army, move them, or give them super “tacobilities” that last throughout the rest of the level.
Also, other than progressing through the game level by level, you can also choose from the World Map which among the many lawns available you will want to defend from the “Zombie Breakouts” that happen daily, in order to grind for more seeds, in-game currency, or stars.
“PvZ 3 is a fresh way to play and not meant to replace the original PvZ or PvZ 2 – those games are amazing in their own ways. For this game, we wanted to incorporate social play, faster combat, and deeper synergies for the plant team. These changes meant that some of the old elements (sorry, Lawn Mowers) were reworked to fit this new vision,” the developers said in a statement.
