Pinoy Food Truck “Senor Sisig” Gets Featured on The Food Network

Senor Sisig, a Filipino fusion food truck in the SoMA (South of Market) district in San Francisco and considered as one of the most popular food trucks in the said city, got featured on The Food Network’s “Diners, Drive In’s & Dives”.

Guy Fieri, the host of the show, said that “you’ll never know where they’re gonna be so you gotta check them out on their website.”

Senor Sisig is said to be a cross of Filipino and Latin American food. “Back in 2010, they started mixing Mexican with, get this, a sour pork Filipino dish called sisig.”

Senor Sisig is owned by high school pals Evan Kidera and Chef Gil Payumo.

Chef Payumo stays true to his roots by sticking to his grandfather’s sisig recipe, which is their signature dish.

Guy Fieri tried their sisig taco and said, “Wow, that pork has so much flavor… salty, spicy goodness. That was packed with big flavor! Nice job.”

Senor Sisig is continuously getting rave reviews especially from the locals who seem to have become regulars of the food truck.

Aside from different variants of sisig, they also bring in Pinoy flavors with chicken adobo in the form of adobo buffalo wings.

So, who now wants a taste of Senor Sisig?

I do.
