Philippine students join 14th International Festival of Language and Culture

Delegates from 15 countries are coming to Manila soon to highlight their dances, music, arts and poetry in the 14th International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC).

To be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at the Resorts World Manila on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, this year’s IFLC will spotlight on performers from participating countries, namely the United States, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bosnia, France, South Africa, India, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Thailand, Romania and the Philippines. Aside from concerts, the event includes competitions covering different categories and age groups.

Students from Davao and Manila will represent the Philippines to showcase the cultural and musical riches of our islands.

The IFLC is an annual international cultural event that aims to contribute to the linguistic and cultural diversity of various nations by encouraging and motivating students in elementary and secondary schools to showcase their knowledge, skills and cultural uniqueness.

The 14th IFLC is sponsored by Integrative Center for Alternative Development Foundation in Manila, and co-organized by the Pacific Dialogue Foundation.

This festival is in partnership with the Department of Education, Department of Tourism, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, National Commission of Culture and Arts, De La Salle – College Of Saint Benilde, Ateneo De Manila University and the University of the Philippines.
