Another great treasure for Philippine wildlife.
A rare Philippine eaglet has just hatched out of its shell last Thursday, February 4, becoming the 27th Philippine eagle to be born in captivity, as announced by the Philippine Eagle Foundation! The eaglet was born in the outskirts of Davao City.
According to PEF, the still unnamed eaglet is the second offspring of natural pair MVP Eagle (Male) and Go Phoenix (Female) since they became partners in 2013. The eaglet is also the sibling of Sinag, who was adopted by the Philippine Airlines!
Now running at full capacity, the PEF currently takes care of 26 eagles, and is responsible for producing eagle icon Pag-asa in 1992.
