All junior and senior high school students in Metro Manila are encouraged to join this annual competition in traditional and digital arts to win gadgets and scholarships from CIIT College of Arts and Technology on Saturday, 1 March 2014, at Quezon City.
CIIT College of Arts and Technology will hold its annual art competition entitled Phantasya on Saturday, 1 March 2014. Now on its fourth year, Phantasya IV carries the tagline “An art contest unlike any other” as one of the few that hosts digital arts competition among junior and senior high school students.
Using Philippine fantasy as its theme, contestants must come up with an artwork on the spot in traditional arts or digital arts. Participants have only three hours to complete their artwork. Since the event will be simultaneous, traditional arts category will be at Circle Events Place along Timog Avenue while digital arts category will be at CIIT campus.
Contestants in the traditional arts category are required to bring their own drawing and coloring materials. However, CIIT will provide for the 15”x20” canvass. On the other hand, CIIT will provide the stock images for those participants who will use image manipulation in the digital arts category. A brand new DSLR camera and a full scholarship to CIIT College of Arts and Technology await the first place winners on both categories. Second place winners will receive an Intuos 5 and a half scholarship each and third place winners will receive an Inkling Pen and a half scholarship each. Not only that, the school with the highest total score of participants will win a laptop.
A People’s Choice Award is given to the participant who garnered the most number of unique likes on CIIT’s Facebook page until 3 March 2014. After tallying the votes, CIIT will announce the winner and award an iPad Mini to the lucky winner.
