We love cheese. And we love pizza. Combining those two favorites together, we have a classic Quattro Formaggi or the Four Cheese Pizza. It may seem like a simple dish, but it’s truly difficult to get right. The crust has to be lightweight and crispy, while the actual cheese should be flavorful without being too overpowering.

But look no further, because Salvatore Cuomo & Bar’s Four Cheese Pizza is here to meet (and exceed) your cheesy expectations. This Four Cheese Pizza is certainly a delight especially for those who enjoy gourmet food in an upscale setting.

The cheeses used in the dish are mozarella, gorgonzola, provolone, and asiago cheese. It might seem intimidating, but the taste is completely balanced. It’s not too strong but it’s not too mild either, which means that possibility of feeling umay is out of the picture.

Not to mention, it’s not greasy at all. The dough is thin, light, and evenly rolled out. Its center is soft, but its edges are satisfyingly crispy. It’s safe to say that this definitely isn’t just your typical pizza.

You also have the option to add honey for that extra punch of sweetness to complement the saltiness of the cheese. Just the mere act of pouring the honey on to the pizza is appealing to the eyes, so what more for our palates?

If you’re a really picky eater, you can also add some extra toppings. They have a lot of options to choose from, like smoked salmon, proscuitto, arugula, truffle paste, and mushroom. You’re actually free to add extra toppings to any of their pizzas so you can really adjust it to your preferences.

Not a big pizza fan? Salvatore Cuomo & Bar has other outstanding menu options.

appetizerMixed Appetizers (P625)

For starters, their bestseller is the Mixed Appetizers. It’s basically your classic mixed platter, but again, given a revamped and refined twist. It has zeppole, fried mozzarella, arancini, proscuitto, bruschetta, and octopus.

rib

Grilled Ribs (P575)

As for a meat dish, Chef Salvatore recommends their Grilled Ribs. These sous vide pork ribs are tender, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned. They’re also served with baked potato, parsley, and oil.

salvatore aglio olio

Salvatore Style Aglio Olio (P360)

Of course, their pasta is also a staple. There’s the Salvatore Style Aglio Olio, an olive oil-based spaghetti dish with fresh galic, dried chili, cherry tomato, parsley, and pecorino cheese. Like all their other menu items, both the texture and taste of this dish are perfect.

pesto

Genovese Pesto (P380)

But if you’re looking for a diet-friendly pasta option, then the Genovese Pesto is a must-try. The penne pasta and the basil pesto sauce comes with French beans, pecorino cheese, potato, and nuts. Don’t let its green veggie color intimidate you because it’s absolutely delicious.

dessert

And last but definitely not the least, DESSERT!  They have a good number of options for this course, but these are our three favorites. There’s the Classic Panna Cotta, the Mango Tiramisu, and the Neapolitan Pastiera. Though desserts are typically notorious for being too sweet or dense, these treats aren’t like that at all.

open kitchen

Overall, you can eat these tasty dishes in an elegant and polished restaurant at The Podium in Mandaluyong City. With the warm-toned décor and the open kitchen, the restaurant feels sophisticated yet relaxing at the same time.
