People Footwear is excited to announce the launch of its 2015 Fall/Winter (FW15) collection hitting stores worldwide this September. The brand launched globally in Spring/Summer 2015 in 12 countries including the USA, Canada, Japan, Korea, and the Philippines.
The four core styles include the Phillips, the Lennon, the Stanley and the Senna. The styles are based on a core construction of People Footwear’s own Skylite™ performance foam, being water repellant, shock-absorbing, easy to clean and best of all, odor resistant.
The Phillips is a hybrid interpretation of a the original sneaker and features a Skylite™ EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) Outsole, a 3D-printed mesh upper, color-matched laces, and a removable SuperCush™ EVA Sockliner. SuperCush is supremely shock-absorbing and adapts to the shape of the wearer’s foot and is made of compression-molded low-density EVA.
The Lennon is People’s take on a freewheeling, hippie culture-inspired footwear, aptly named after John Lennon. It is a hybrid dual-strap sandal and features a dual-density Skylite™ EVA Outsole and a micro-fiber lined PU nubuck strap with adjustable painted-metal buckles.
The Stanley is a hybrid interpretation of a classic casual deck shoe and features a Skylite™ EVA Outsole, a 3D-printed mesh upper, color-matched laces, and a removable SuperCush™ EVA Sockliner.
The Senna is a fully-molded driving moccasin dubbed after influential F1 racer Ayrton Senna. It features a Skylite™ EVA Outer with a fixed SuperCush™ EVA Sockliner, rubber traction pads, and removable laces strategically incorporated for added functionality. It is comprised almost entirely of this super-light and supremely comfortable foam that’ll be very useful for long drives.
Highlights of the season included an exclusive all-white Phillips and Stanley Knit model with Kith NYC. Expectations for the brand are high and People Footwear’s FW15 line is primed to exceed them.
The FW15 collection introduces the “little People” line, the brand’s expansion into a children’s footwear line featuring the same classic Phillips, Stanley and Senna silhouettes in “mini-me” sizes and colours. Constructed from their own performance molded foam known as Skylite TM EVA and featuring 3-D printed paneling, these shoes are redefining the notion of comfort.
The brand will also unveil its new seasonal silhouette, which is named after a famous mountain and ski spot in Vancouver. The Cypress features a cozy WarmCore™ upper and soft-touch footbed reminiscent of a sleeping bag for the foot. The combination of a pillowy quilted upper and elastic/toggled laces means you can slip these on with one eyed closed – perfect for those “way too early” morning dog walks.
