The Parokya ni Edgar musical is really happening in 2024! On Monday, September 11, Newport World Resorts confirmed the exciting news with a teaser video through Instagram.
Following the teaser, the band’s frontman, Chito Miranda, appeared to reveal the upcoming musical’s title, Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical, which is the title of their second album.
“Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical abangan ninyo, 2024,” he said.

The all-Filipino musical is set to stage at the Newport Performing Arts Theater’s marquee. Nationwide casting call is now underway for it!
Auditions are open for males and females aged 18 to 50 who can sing and dance. Interested auditionees can submit their CV and audition video singing 16 bars of any Parokya ni Edgar song to PNE2024@gmail.com from September 12 to October 1, 2023.

Aside from online submissions, a three-day in-person audition will also take place from October 16 to 18. Aspirants who passed the initial screening will receive an invitation for the final callback auditions on October 24 to 26.
