Filipina OFW Severely Burned Allegedly By Saudi Employer For Not Making Coffee Fast Enough

According to reports, a 23-year-old maid was at the home of her employer’s mother on May 4 when her sponsor’s mother poured a thermos of scalding water after yelling at her for not preparing coffee quick enough. Two days later, the employer took Pahima Alagai Palacasi, the said OFW,  for medical care.

It was the victim’s cousin Arnel Tahal who uploaded  photos of  Palacasi’s injuries on social media hoping to get help. Reports say that Palacasi fled with another relative in the fear that her employer might kill her if she stayed. Saudi officials told news that they are investigating on the matter. Palacasi is now in the care of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh and hopes to get  justice from her injuries.
