NU107FM's Concert was Arguably the Rock Spectacle of the Year

It has been 7 years since NU107FM signed off of the air; but since then, fans have still been clamoring for its return. In order to relive the memories of the said radio station, Smart and MCA Music teamed up to produce what could arguably be “the rock spectacle of the year” featuring the biggest assembly of OPM’s finest acts, Rivermaya, Itchyworms, Ebe Dancel, Barbie Almalbis and Ely Buendia.

The first on the roster to perform were the Itchyworms. The quartet made their mark in the OPM rock scene with their songs “Antipara, “Beer”, “Akin Ka Na Lang” and “Penge Naman Ako Niyan”, all of which they played at the concert.

Second on the bill was Pop-Rock Sweetheart Barbie Almalbis. She played songs from her Hungry Young Poets and Barbie’s Cradle days, as well as her solo outing, such as “Torpe”, “Firewoman”, the Ryan Cayabyab penned “Limang Dipang Tao”, “Money for Food”, and “Tabing Ilog”, among others.
