After missing a season, the National University (NU) Pep Squad is back stronger than ever! The team just won yet another gold medal at the UAAP Cheerdance Competition (CDC) Season 85 on Saturday, December 10.
As expected, the cheerleaders delivered their high-scoring stunts and next-level choreography! Wearing colorful tights as uniforms, they performed a “cheer-obic” routine filled with heartstopping and mindblowing tumbling passes, partner stunts, and pyramids that were seamlessly executed. Complete with workout equipment props, the squad gave an astounding 6-minute number that encourages viewers to pursue their balik-alindog program! This led them to win their seventh title in the last nine seasons in front of 18,029 fans at the jam-packed SM Mall of Asia Arena, claiming their title back from Season 84 champion FEU Cheering Squad.

The latter settled for first runner-up this year with their Francis M.-themed routine. Meanwhile, UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe’s Lady Gaga performance bagged them the third prize.
