LOOK: Here’s Why Nadine Samonte Used Syringes for Her Baby’s Photoshoot

Nadine Samonte admits that her pregnancy with both her children had not been easy.

Being diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome (APAS), a type of autoimmune disorder, she had to endure daily medication just to keep her unborn babies safe and healthy — 53 tablets a day, twice-a-day Heparin injections, and once-a-week Proluton injection for her pregnancy with her firstborn Heather Sloane in 2016, and 30 tablets a day, once-a-day Innohep injection, and Proluton injection every three days for her newborn son Titus.

Despite her hardship, she said on her Instagram post, “If you are gonna ask me, I will do it all over again.”

She shared a photo of her two children surrounded by the syringes she had used throughout her pregnancies with them. “I kept everything from my first born to my 2nd and after this pictorial,” she said. Jokingly, she added, “I’m gonna frame it para paglaki nila makita nila at itutusok ko sa kanila pag makulit na sila (so that when they grow older, they will see these photos and I’ll teach them a lesson when they’re naughty).”

She then went on to say that all the hardship she endured had been worth it. “Every needle is worth it para mabuhay sila (so they can survive). Look at God’s blessings to us, I will forever be grateful. Thank you for my beautiful children and Lord wag niyo po papabayaan ang pamilya namin (never forsake our family).”
