The Muppets on iflix: Which Muppet Are You?

After a two-decade hiatus from primetime television, The Muppets is finally back and iflix is pleased to announce it has acquired exclusive first run rights to The Muppets in Thailand and the Philippines. The first four episodes of the season are available for viewing only on iflix, with each succeeding episode added every Wednesday, the same day as its initial U.S. broadcast.

I’ve been binge-watching The Muppets on iflix recently and noticed that everyone in my barkada can relate to at least one Muppet in the show. As such, I have come up with a list of some of the different Muppets (all from the first episode, so as not to give too much away) that you might be able to identify in your own barkada. Read on and let us know which Muppet you are!

You always have something to say, even when not everybody gets to hear it. You’re the one with the snide comments, the sarcastic remarks and the one-liner jokes. You complain a lot about the things around you, but you’re always there by your friends’ sides anyway, even if you hate their choices in food and places to hang out in sometimes. You’re probably also the one who tags your friends in funny Vines and Facebook posts on a daily basis.

You are the life of the party, whether you like it or not. You’re full of fun and energy (and sometimes destruction), but hey, YOLO, right?

You’re the reliable one. Whenever people need something or need to get something done, they know they can turn to you in their hour of need. You are a bit of a wallflower, but that doesn’t bother you one bit. In fact, you like not being in the spotlight and making other people happy is enough for you to be happy. You never expect anything in return, either.

We hate to break it to you, but: you think your jokes are funny, but they’re not. That doesn’t mean your friends don’t like them, though. Sometimes, corny jokes make the night better. What’s great about you is that you probably know that your jokes aren’t funny, but you’re so passionate about them that you keep telling them anyway. And that’s the best thing about you: passion. You have dreams and you will stop at nothing to fulfill them. And when you like someone, you want their family and friends to like you, too, because you don’t believe in doing anything half-assed.

Kermit the Frog

You are the leader of the group. Most of the time, you call the shots, even when you don’t want to. When something has to be done, you take charge and tell people how to overcome the situation. In fact, even when you aren’t directly involved in the situation, you feel the need to play the superhero and jump in to the rescue. You are optimistic and have more faith in your friends than they do in themselves. You’re insensitive sometimes, but never mean to be. You’re loyal to your friends and, oh, your singing voice isn’t bad, either.

Miss Piggy

You are the friend no one wants to mess with. You are straightforward and frank and you speak your mind even if it hurts other people because you believe in honesty. You don’t care if you don’t get along with everyone because you know that’s just how the world works. You’re strong and independent and no matter what the world throws your way, you overcome it with grace. You dress to kill and you’re a bit of a diva, but you don’t care what other people think, and that’s why you rock.

For the first time ever, The Muppets will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires. This is a more adult Muppet show, for “kids” of all ages.
