The proponent MSFFI (My Superhero Friends Foundation Inc.,), since the organization’s formation in 2007, has been uniquely aiding cancer patients, scholars and various impoverished communities. The business and social excellence themed event aims to connect like-minded philanthropists and professionals through forming a valuable gala night that is based on the desire to inspire hope and giving through the validation of the society’s top companies, CEOs, entrepreneurs and celebrities.
MSFFI is a grassroots non-profit organization with the mission to promote opportunities for social empowerment by delivering educational aid and various resources to the underprivileged. Since 2007, with ongoing support from donors and partners, the non-profit organization has executed a ton of different projects reaching over hundreds of disadvantaged students in rural communities across the Philippines along with cancer patients and their families.
The funds raised at this event will support the organization’s mission. To help propel its beneficiaries (students and patients) towards reaching their greatest potential at their convenience, MSFFI plans to improve the beneficiaries’ environment through various scholarship developments, as well as providing critically needed educational and community resources, while implementing sustainable programs to help families escape generations of stagnation and poverty.
A cleared hospital fee, a new backpack, notebook, or simple room to read, all have the potential to lift barriers enabling the most vulnerable children and their families access to a brighter future. MSFFI has and will continue to strive towards this positive change. My Superhero Friends Foundation Inc. is a non-stock and non-profit organization, duly accredited by the Security and Exchange Commission. MSFFI held their 10 year anniversary last June, and since then the organization has already extended numerous scholarships and financial aid to various impoverished communities in the Philippines.
“Helping Hand with a Heart.” is the motto they go by. TMSHA 2018 CHANGE OF DATE
After months of deliberation, the My Superhero Awards Board of Directors has voted to change the dates of the maiden voyage of TMSHA Business and Social Excellence Awards, A Charity Gala. Instead of the announced date of June 23, 2018, the Awarding ceremony will take place on November 24, 2018 at one of the premier events place in the country — Solaire Resorts Worlds and Casino. This decision was made at the continuous urging of nominees, awardees, vendors and patrons.
The My Superhero Awards 2018 is a charity dinner gala that draws people from all industries all over Asia for a one-night celebration of their achievements. It is hailed to be as a premier international event that will not only recognize unbelievable talents and effort from various industries but will mainly focus on coming together for a good cause. The Foundation behind the event, MSFFI is not only the main proponent but is also the beneficiary of the funds to be raised.
TMSHA 2018 started calling out all qualified nominess via different social media channels during the last quarter of 2017 till the first of 2018. They have announced the end of the nomination and selection process to make way for the online voting system last February 2018. However, due to the insistent public demand to open nominations and to re-validate and strengthen the mechanics of the online voting, TMSHA is happy to announce that with the confirmed move of the event date, nominations are once again open.

WHY NOMINATE a “HERO”
What is a Hero?
Defined popularly, a hero (masculine) or heroine (feminine) is a real person or the main character of a literary work who, in the face of danger, combats adversity through feats of ingenuity, bravery or strength.
The original hero type of classical epics did such things for the sake of glory and honor. On a more modern take, our modern heroes of today as based on comic books are those who perform great deeds for the common good instead of the classical goal of pride and fame.
The concept of the hero can be found in the oldest of literature to the newest ones of today. It is the main or revered character in a heroic epic story.
Nowadays, we often define heroes as “a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities.” Current examples of heroes range from mythological figures, such as Gilgamesh, Achilles, to historical figures, such as Joan of Arc, modern heroes like Alvin York, Audie Murphy and Chuck Yeager, even fictional superheroes, including Superman and Batman.
But here at The My Super Hero Awards, we are redefining Heroes as those outstanding individuals who in their own ways have created innovations and impressionable impact on different industries.
They are our “unsung heroes” of today – who says that only Superman, Batman or even Ironman can bring about change and peace?
