This year, Mr. Olympia 2018 himself, Shawn Rhoden, is coming to the Philippines to give you a chance to compete professionally in the hopes of kick-starting your journey to Mr.
Olympia. The Shawn Rhoden Classic Philippines is the biggest, most prestigious bodybuilding event in the country, happening on December 8, 2018 at the Theatre in Solaire.
In the realm of bodybuilding, Mr. Olympia is the most coveted title there is. However, the journey to get there is tough. Athletes would need to compete in a series of amateur competitions sanctioned by National Physique Committee (NPC), a recognized International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) organization to accommodate amateur athletes competitions, in order to meet the requirements needed to earn the IFBB Pro Card.
This year will be the first year that the Shawn Rhoden Classic will be an IFBB Pro Qualifier and will be flying in 5 IFBB judges for the historic event. This means that the competitors will have a chance at winning one of the IFBB Pro Cards in 6 different categories: Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique, Classic Physique, Women’s Physique, Women’s Figure, Women’s Bikini.
Furthermore, winners of the IFBB Pro Cards will have the opportunity to compete professionally for their first time that same night.
