Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts celebrated the official opening of its new beach resort in Boracay with an elaborate party and gala dinner event attended by VIP guests that included Governor Florencio Miraflores of Aklan Province, Mayor Ciceron Cawaling of Malay, Ambassador Alfredo Yao, Chairman of Summit Hotels & Resorts Specialist, Inc., Mr Andrew Langdon, Chief Development Officer, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts and Mr. Mark Willis, President Asia, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.

The spectacular Grand Opening party was themed “Cirque du Paradiso” and included performances by Boracay drumbeaters and showgirls, fire dancers, wheel stunts, aerial dancers and a firework show. The after party featured live music from a rockeoke band followed by local DJs spinning dancefloor tunes on the poolside stage and three special sets by international DJ Tom Taus at the resort’s Sol Marina Beach Club.
