Another ridiculously funny movie has arrived with the sequel of Moron 5: Moron 5.2 The Transformation! If you loved the first movie, don’t miss this one as it’s packed with even more ROFL scenes that will make you do the face palm more than ten times.
Starring the original Morons Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Marvin Agustin and DJ Durano, the new addition to the group, Matteo Guidicelli, and the Crying Lady John Lapus; the insanely silly and funny continuation of this moronic group of friends continues as they enter family life. With wives and children who are geniuses (i.e. the opposite of them), they will face a struggle between being themselves and meeting the expectations and needs of their respectful families.
Having said that, the friends now find a way to make their children proud. But how? Due to an unexpected incident, they find themselves believing they have supernatural powers, thus turning into wacky superheroes they branded as the M5! Meanwhile, villain Becky Pamintuan escapes a mental institution and plans a vengeful comeback for Moron 5.
I must say that Moron 5.2 The Transformation definitely is a lot funnier than its precedent. Relating their gags and comical antics in real life, like Matteo’s relationship with Sarah G. and Billy’s imprisonment incident, the audience can keep up with the movie and its stars. Though some scenes may be really corny, I couldn’t help but give out a giggle anyway. They also showcased cameos from the big stars like Vice Ganda and Vhong Navarro.
Moron 5.2 The Transformation is not only a movie for laughs, either; you may also pick up a few lessons from Moron 5’s story, such as the following:
3. No matter who you are, where you are from, what you do, or how stupid you are, people who love you will always accept you as you are.
Obviously, the group is a total pack of stupid and foolish beings. But this dearth is not a hindrance for them in finding the person they’ll spend the rest of their lives with.
2. You don’t need super powers to help those in need.
At the climax of the movie, they will be fighting bandits with guns and bombs. By that time, their “power source” is gone. However, they still battle their way to victory. There really is no stopping anyone with bravery, determination and the heart to help.
1. Parents will never stop loving their children.
During recognition day, their genius children denied the Moron 5 of being their fathers because their being stupid got them bullied in school. Despite of how cutting that is, though; instead of getting angry, Moron 5 looked for a way to regain their children’s affection and love. Just how great can a father’s love be?
Indeed, it’s another blockbuster movie by Direk Wenn Deramas. See you at the theaters!
