MoodBoost’s Cheese Rolls are Super Addicting

I love everything with cheese in it, but I also feel like I’ve tried every kind of cheese offering in the market by now. Boy, was I wrong! MoodBoost has a new kind of cheese roll that isn’t just perfect for cheese lovers like me, but is also incredibly addicting. One piece simply isn’t enough… but I’m getting ahead of myself.

Just like everyone else, Ina Uy’s goal during quarantine was simply to find a way to pay her bills. To do this, she started selling bread and cookies online. However, the more bakers sold their goodies online during this time, the harder it was for Ina to get noticed. That’s when she remembered a certain baker in LA that sold her favorite cheese rolls and tried to make some of her own.

It wasn’t smooth sailing in the beginning, she admits; but after several more trials, she finally succeeded in what I believe to be the best cheese rolls in the market right now. I don’t say that lightly, either. As mentioned earlier, I love cheese. However, I had never found myself as addicted to cheese rolls as I have after trying hers.

The brand name ‘MoodBoost’ took some time for Ina to come up with it. “I wanted a name that would encapsulate how I felt every time I had a bite of the cheese rolls,” she explains. “Initially, I thought about incorporating the words happy or sunny; but while I was eating some, I thought to myself “sobrang nabboost talaga yung mood ko dito“. Then it hit me. It was a total lightbulb moment.” And I couldn’t agree more. Her cheese rolls boost my mood every time I take a bite out of one, too.

Although this was only supposed to be a temporary business at first, Ina was motivated to keep going after all of the support and positive feedback she received. Now, her goal is to make customers feel happy with every bite and forget the stress they’ve been carrying, even if it’s just for a while.

“As cheesy as that may sound, I really want to spread a little positivity because that’s what we need,” she says. That is also why MoodBoost continues to donate part of their proceeds to Unicef’s COVID-19 emergency campaign every week. So, not only will you get delicious rolls; you’ll get to do a good deed, too!

And trust me: the mood boost thing? It works. When I got my rolls, I found myself looking for them whenever I was working and feeling stressed out, and it made me feel a whole lot better. Good coffee usually does that trick for me, too, but I’ve never experienced that with food up until I tried these. You might think I’m exaggerating, but I really just love them so much. There was a time I even ate some leftover rolls straight from the fridge without heating them up – and they still boosted my mood just as well.

As of the moment, MoodBoost’s cheese rolls are only available for pickup, either personally or through third party courier service apps. They’re definitely worth it, though – and I’m not the only one who thinks so. In fact, these cheese rolls sell out so fast, you might have to wait a week to get some after ordering; so make sure you order ahead.

Ina shares that she is also experimenting on a new product that will be available soon. We can’t wait to find out what it is! For now: MORE MOODBOOST CHEESE ROLLS, PLEASE!!!
