I look forward to Miss Universe every year – maybe not as much as your average Filipino, but I definitely enjoy watching it. Funnily enough, my geeky self is much more excited for it this time around after Miss Japan announced that she would be dressing as Sailor Moon at one point in the event.
Just the other day, Miss Universe contestant Yuumi Kato posted a photo of her dressed as Sailor Moon with the caption ‘Japan National costume 2018. Ninja to woman warrior Sailor Moon. Who excited for the finals ? Me.”
And girl, so am I! She may not look like the blonde and bubbly Sailor Moon (in my opinion, she’d be a much better Sailor Mars, but I guess she had to be the lead character?), but I am absolutely loving her pigtails and how elaborate her costume is. And it sparkles, too! Will she be doing any Sailor Moon poses at the pageant, I’m wondering?
Miss Universe begins this December 17, 2018. Who else is excited for this?
