LOOK: These Milk Tea Donuts Come Complete with Pearls Inside

Hello, milk tea lovers! We’ve got a surprise find for you! If sipping on milk tea isn’t enough to satisfy your cravings or if you simply want to try something new and innovative, you need to check out Bobba Donuts MNL.

Bobba Donuts was actually just a random thought of Chef Bekah Cuneta, Jed Gamir’s wife. They had planned on starting an online business for a while, but didn’t really know what to sell yet. All they knew was that they wanted to sell something unique and affordable that everyone would love. Since Jed loves donuts and Bekah loves milk tea, it’s no wonder that they decided on… milk tea donuts!

That’s right, you guys. These donuts are inspired by milk tea – and they even have pearls inside!!!

Bekah admits that she was having second thoughts about the product at first, asking if it would be weird to eat donuts with bobba pearls in them. I personally love milk tea and I actually thought it was weird when I first heard about it, too; but surprisingly, it works! It’s still weird, sure, but it kind of grows on you. (It’s hard to explain. You’ll just have to try them yourself!)

Although Bobba Donuts MNL is still relatively new, Jed shares that they are overwhelmed (in a good way) by the amount of random messages that they have been getting from customers showing their appreciation for their donut creation. Some have even asked if they can resell and be a distributor for the product. Food delivery companies have asked for partnerships, as well, and many celebrities and content creators have been asking them for collaborations. The hype is real!

Bobba Donuts MNL delivers all around Metro Manila at the expense of the customer. They make their bobba donuts every morning, so you can rest assured knowing that your orders are always freshly made. Jed recommends enjoying the donuts right away for the best taste quality. However, you may also heat them in the microwave for 5-10 seconds first (like I did) if you like your donuts warm.

If you want to order a lot at once, the donuts can last up to a whole week, though Jed doesn’t recommend storing them for too long since the caramelized sugar, pearls, and actual donut might harden the same way they do in actual milk tea. (From personal experience, it’s nothing a little microwave heating can’t fix, though.)
