Actor Mico Palanca has passed away at the age of 41 this December 9. He is the younger brother of fellow actor Bernard Palanca.
Investigations behind his death are still ongoing and complete details have yet to be released. However, a number of reports claim that Palanca died due to suicide. None of these sources have been verified so far.
Palanca was best known for his role in ABS-CBN’s Gimik 2010. His recent appearances include Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Love Is Only In The Movies, and May Bukas Pa. Palanca also starred in Tabing Ilog and in teleseryes such as Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay and It Might Be You.
He has shied away from the public eye and has not taken on as many projects in recent years.
The Film Academy of the Philippines extended their sincerest sympathies in light of Mico Palanca’s untimely passing. They posted the message on their Facebook page:
