Michael Pacquiao and 50 Other Local Amateur Youth Boxers Face Off in “Kamao ng Kabataan”

This coming October 9, top 50 amateur youth boxers from around the Philippines will come together and face off for “Kamao ng Kabataan.”

Kamao ng Kabataan is a free boxing event happening on October 9, 1 pm, at the phase 1 gym of BF Homes, Parañaque. The young contenders, who will be coming from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, will be battling for the WBA Asia South and PBF Championship titles.

Founded by two entrepreneurs who co-own boxing gym Kombat Sports Kalayaan, Kamao ng Kabataan is an advocacy to give youth amateur fighters a platform to showcase their talents.

Past events have already taken place in various locations in the Philippines. The latest bout happened in Brgy. Poblacion, Makati last July 2022.

Aside from boxing, local artists are also scheduled to perform at the event. World boxing champion Dave Apolinario is also flying to appear at the event.

Another highlight of the event is the first appearance of Manny Pacquiao’s son in the ring. Michael Pacquiao is making his debut fight at Kamao ng Kabataan, facing off with fellow amateur fighter Nataniel Ruiz.

The weigh-in for contenders is scheduled to happen on October 8 at Rue Bourbon Parañaque.
