The Association of Philippine Medical Colleges – Student Network and St. Luke’s Academic Medical Center, together with Emilio Aguinaldo College – College of Medicine, Our Lady of Fatima University – College of Medicine, University of Perpetual Help System Jonelta – College of Medicine and University of the Philippines College of Medicine, will hold the 12th Medical Student Summit entitled “BUKLOD: Excellence through Empowerment and Service” to be held on October 28 and 29, 2017 at St Luke’s College of Medicine (Day 1) and St Luke’s Medical Center (Day 2).
This year, the APMC-SN aims to establish a future Filipino doctor by empowering medical students and improving competence through its sessions and activities. The keynote speaker for this year’s MSS is none other than the Vice-President of the Republic of the Philippines, Hon. Leni Robredo.
What to expect: This year, the summit is composed of Plenary Talks and Breakout Sessions focusing on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, Heath and Social Media, Health Policies and Doctor to the Barrios Program. Academic competitions are also on the line which includes an Inter-Medical School Quiz Bee, Clinico-Pathological Conference, and Research Competition. On the night of Day 1, there will be a Socials Night wherein the medical students from different schools have a chance to get to know each other, strengthen relationships and build connections.
