The trailer for the new movie “Ex With Benefits” starring Derek Ramsay and Coleen Garcia has gone out, and med reps are not happy.
Medical representatives have taken to social media to express their offense towards the new movie “Ex With Benefits”, Â supposedly portraying medical representatives in a degrading light.
“Ex With Benefits” stars Coleen Garcia, a medical representative looking to get the endorsement of hotshot doctor Derek Ramsay, who apparently used to have a relationship with each other 10 years ago. In the teaser, Derek’s character tells Coleen that as a medical representative, she should be able to convince him that her product is worth it. This is followed by a montage of Coleen and Derek flirting and dancing with each other, and they end up sleeping together, with Coleen saying that “she did her duty”, and “cuddling was not part of it”.
One netizen, Nikki Quisumbing, a medical representative herself, posted on Facebook her frustrations about the trailer:
Other netizens, also fellow medical representatives, have shown their support for the post, while others say that the backlash is an “overreaction”, and that it’s too early to judge the film based on one trailer.
