MCU’s First Openly Gay Character Will Be Introduced in ‘The Eternals’

A few weeks ago, people were ecstatic over the news that Thor: Love and Thunder will introduce the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first openly LGBTQ+ character. But it seems that The Eternals will be the first one to do that after all. Although we don’t know a lot about this character, the president of Marvel Studios shed some light. “He’s married. He’s got a family. And that is just part of who he is,” said Kevin Feige.

Marvel truly is working on LGBTQ+ representation within its cast. As previously announced, Valkyrie (played by Tessa Thompson) who will be introduced in Thor: Love and Thunder, is also a member of the LGBT community. It is important to note too that she identifies as bisexual in the comics.
