Mayor Duterte Offers 1 Million Peso Reward for Finding Killers Enzo Pastor
Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, acting in his personal capacity, offered a cash reward of One Million Pesos (PHP 1,000,000.00) for any information leading to the capture of the gunmen and mastermind behind the killing of champion race car driver Ferdinand “Enzo” Pastor.
Pastor was shot dead by a masked gunman last June 12 at the corner of Visayas Avenue and Congressional Avenue, Quezon City while driving a truck carrying his race car. He was en route to Clark International Speedway for the final leg of the Asian V8 Championships.
Enzo was the first Filipino to be invited by the Formula One Team Minardi as Test Car Driver and landed in the top six overall in the EuroNASCAR Championships in 2013. Before his death, Enzo had a standing invitation to join the prestigious NASCAR K&N Pro Series in the USA.
Enzo was a personal friend of Duterte and the mayor had been following the achievements of the young race car driver ever since he won the Asian Formula Renault in 2002.
“We should all be very proud of the motorsports achievements he has brought to the country. His tragic death was not only a loss to his family and children, but it was a loss for the country as well. I want to make sure that the perpetrators of this crime are found and brought to justice,” Duterte said during an interview in a Davao City Hotel.

Enzo was shot dead by a masked gunman last June 12, 2014 in Quezon City, while driving a truck carrying his race car on his way to Clark for the 2nd leg of the Asian V8 Championships.
Enzo was a personal friend of mine. I have been following his achievements ever since he won Formula Renault in 2002. His tragic death was not only a loss to his family and children, but was a loss for the country as well. I want to bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice, and I will not stop until this is done.
