Days after the news of Matthew Perry’s passing, his fellow “Friends” cast members released a joint statement expressing that at the moment, they were simply “going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.” Now, Matt LeBlanc and Courteney Cox have publicly written their heartfelt personal messages dedicated to their co-star.

Sharing an iconic scene from the hit comedy series, Cox wrote, “I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day.”
“When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now, here’s one of my favorites,” she added, referring to her scene with Perry in the season four finale. The episode, titled “The One With Ross’ Wedding: Part 2,” reveals their characters, Monica and Chandler, hooking up. Cox even included the original taped scene where she improvised a line that Perry suggested to her.
She continued, “To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one-night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say.”
“He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind,” Cox concluded.

LeBlanc, on the other hand, could not pick a single moment, posting several stills through the course of the show; as well as one from behind the scenes where all of them (including David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, and Lisa Kudrow) gathered for a group hug. “Matthew, It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye,” he began.
“The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never,” he went on. Perry and LeBlanc played the iconic duo of Chandler and Joey, who were best friends and roommates on “Friends.”
“Spread your wings and fly brother; you’re finally free. Much love,” he said before closing on a funny note, “And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”
