LOOK: Dazzling Firefly Trails Light Up Masungi Georeserve

The Masungi Georeserve just experienced a magical moment on Friday, May 29, when dozens of dazzling fireflies lit up the night sky.

The conservation area located in Rizal shared their stunning photographs of the firefly trails on Facebook and we’re completely awe-struck! Take a look at them below:

“Fireflies are an important bioindicator or a species that can help gauge how healthy an ecosystem is. Bioindicator species are sensitive to pollution or other habitat changes, making them good signs of a thriving ecosystem,” they wrote on their post.

“We are thankful to see these tonight as it reaffirms our work in protecting the Masungi landscape and restoring its amazing biodiversity. #SaveMasungi,” they added.
