The Masungi Georeserve Discovery Trail is one of those places that we believe should be on everyone’s travel bucket list.

Aside from being a good promoter of health and the beauty of the Philippines; it also happens to be a great place to go if you want to bond with friends, reflect on life or just enjoy amazing scenery.

In case you haven’t been to Masungi yet and are planning to do so in 2017, please take note that they will be implementing new conservation fees for visits from January 1, 2017 onwards. The new fees will be as follows:

Mondays to Fridays: Php1,500 per person

Saturdays and Sundays: Php1,800 per person

This is inclusive of a ranger dedicated to the group, as well as rental of helmets and backpacks, water refills and complimentary light after-trail snacks. Guests who have reserved before November 26, 2016 for visits from December 1, 2017 and onwards, however, will not be affected by this price change.

Masungi Georeserve says that these new fees will help equalise demand across schedules, such that scalping and mass booking of schedules on the georeserve’s limited capacity will be discouraged.

Aside from the price changes, Masungi Georeserve shares that a new improvement will also be opening at the end of the trail. Called ‘Dahon’ Village, hammocks of different shapes and sizes inspired by leaves and fruits will be found there. Guests will be able to rent these hammocks after a long and winding trek through the trail. That sounds so cute and I cannot wait to see them! 🙂

So, what are you waiting for? Plan your next trek at Masungi Georeserve now! 🙂
