We’re so stoked for this!
According to a report from the LA Times, Disney is planning on opening a Marvel theme park at the California Adventure Park next year. The theme park just launched Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, their brand new Star Wars attraction which became an instant hit among theme park goers.

Apparently, Disney has been planning this for a while now and are planning on opening the attraction in 2020. That’s next year! The city of Anaheim, where Disneyland and the California Adventure Park are located, has apparently approved a bunch of building permits that include a retail outlet, a character meet-and-greet area, and a microbrewery. Based on the permits, the combined cost of these projects comes at $14 million.
There is currently a huge wall blocking the construction from the rest of the theme park marked with “Stark Industries” logos, a nod to crowd favorite Tony Stark.
It’s unlikely that the attraction will have ‘Marvel’ on its title due to licensing rights, though. However, we’re sure the attraction going to be a big hit no matter what it’s called.
