Philippine tabletop enthusiasts are in for something huge – literally, as Gaming Library gears up for a titanic undertaking with All Aboard XL. In marking its eight year celebration, Gaming Library will be hosting a giant board game theme park featuring giant versions of popular board games from around the world. Gaming Library is pushing the envelope with games that are big in size and personality, which will surely be a challenge to every kind of player.

A much-anticipated highlight of All Aboard XL is the Kingdomino Championship where the champion will get a chance to represent the Philippines in the Kingdomino World Championship 2020, and win an all-expense paid trip to France. The Kingdomino World Championship 2020 will have 3,000 euros as the top prize for the champion.

Gaming Library will pay homage to the game that led the board game renaissance. In partnership with Asmodee, there will be a Big Game Catan event where players will trade, negotiate, and build their island all at the same time. It will be the first strategy game that will have 30 players all participating at the same time.
For those who work well with a team, the Leaderboard Tournaments will be a challenge that can only be overcome with collective strategy and camaraderie. This will test the players’ mastery of Slide Quest.

Aside from that, Pengaloo, Chickiboom, Quoridor, Codenames: Philippines, Mysterium, Zategy, Quixo, Squadro, and Quarto will have their own gigantic versions that guests can try to conquer. There will also be a space exclusively for kids that will help the young ones hone their skills in various areas.

“For this year, we are taking the Philippine gaming community to a board game wonderland,” said Gaming Library’s Chief Meeple Hans Kenner Fernandez. “We are setting a gigantic stage for gigantic plays that will hopefully inspire people to put their heads together, exceed their limits, and most of all, be receptive of what our games are capable of teaching.
We want All Aboard XL to not just provide entertainment but also an opportunity for learning and knowledge-sharing.”
