Well, well well, looks like Juan Manuel Marquez has a bit of advice for Pacquiao for the upcoming mega fight!
The Pacman’s biggest archrival weighed in on how Pacquiao can do what 47 other boxers weren’t able to do, and hand Mayweather his first defeat come May 2nd: KNOCK HIM OUT.
Sounds like a tall order… but then, this is Pacquiao we’re talking about!
Of course, the Mexican boxer would know, given he’s fought against both boxers. Mayweather won over Marquez after 12 rounds in 2009, and he has been in four close and controversial fights with the People’s Champ, with the series ending in a legendary knockout by Marquez in 2012.
According to a report by boxingscene, Pacquiao needs to knock Mayweather out during their fight as the judges always favor Mayweather in the ring.
Marquez also said that Mayweather is a great counter-puncher and knows exactly what will hurt Pacquiao when the Filipino boxer throws out aggressive punches.
That being said, the Mexican boxer also contended that Pacquiao is “very dangerous” for Mayweather because he has not encountered an opponent with the same speed and aggression as Pacquiao’s.
We’ll just have to tune in on May 2 to find out!!!
