When In Manila, and you have heard and have been dying to go to music festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Splendour in the Grass and Optimus Alive! (to name a few of the famous music fest all over the world) but have limited financial means to travel out of the country just to be at these three-day or more events, worry no more our dear fellow music fest lovers, Volume Unit Entertainment (VUE) is once again delighting all of us with another music festival. Brace yourselves and get excited for the first ever music festival in Manila, – the Manila Music Festival.

The very same organizers, Volume Unit Entertainment (VUE), that delivered us the very successful and recently concluded Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival (March 2-4, 2012) at the stunning Mt. Malasimbo in Puerto Galera, now in its second year, will once again stimulate our music festival loving selves with this well deserved first ever Manila Music Festival.

The mere thought of having the a Music Festival in Manila this 2012 is one thing but here are the few other important things that you need to know in order to pump that excitement up:

A. Partnership with Department of Tourism:

The Manila Music Festival is aligned with the Department of Tourism’s Multi-Festival Tourism Strategy. This festival will help promote the Philippines and that it would be another statement of “It Is More Fun In the Philippines”. Filipinos are encouraged to be part of the tourism campaign of DOT, by showing the world that we too can have a music festival that we could call our own, that it is more fun to be at the Manila Music Festival.

“Philippines is the easiest place to promote due to its vibrant culture and amazing music scene. This country can be considered as the soul of Asia. Promoting Philippine music is an easy thing to do because of these very reasons” said that of Volume Unit Entertainment’s (VUE) President, Miro Grgic during the press launch held at Sofitel Hotel last April 18, 2012. He also stated that, “the music festival will help unify and create another platform to the local music scene and promote the Philippines.”

Volume Unit Entertainment in partnership with Department of Tourism aim to make the Philippines number one in Asia in terms of the new and upcoming music and arts festival.

B. The Line Up:

The best thing about a music festival is the coming together of both international and local artists in the music scene. Festival goers will be given two (2) stages to enjoy the Main Stage and the Redbull Stage.
