Man Gets Incredibly Fit By Working Out For Only 4 Minutes Each Day

A Japanese man claims to have undergone an impressive physical transformation by doing only the four-minute Tabata exercise everyday for 5 months. In that time,  Hiragi Sensei (as he is called online), shares that he was able to lose 13kg (28.6 pounds) and 18.2% of his body fat. The photos he posted of himself clearly depict a significant difference in his physique. From boasting a beer belly to becoming incredibly muscled, it’s hard to believe this much can be achieved with just 4 minutes of exercise a day.

Of course, the Tabata workout is not exactly an easy one either. While it only requires a short amount of time devoted to it, that short time will be spent in high-intensity training. The exercise routine was pioneered by Japanese scientist Dr. Izumi Tabata and his team of researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo, Japan in 1996. It essentially creates a quick but intense repetition of exercises in order to demand more physical effort.

Hiragi supposedly went from 72 kilograms (158.7 pounds) to 59 kilograms (130 pounds) by following through on his daily Tabata routine consistently. He shares that his specific routine is to do eight sets of burpee repetitions in 4 minutes or less.
