The Makeup Museum is a brand new space that will show visitors the history of makeup and the beauty industry as we know it. It will feature a variety of exhibits that showcase the trends, icons, entrepreneurs, and artifacts across cultures and generations. One of the first exhibits that will be held during its launch is Pink Jungle: 1950s Makeup in America in which vintage items from that time will be put on display, including Erno Laszlo’s skincare collection once owned by 1950s icons Greta Garbo and Marilyn Monroe.

There will also be interactive displays and experiences in the museum.

“Visitors are encouraged to play with makeup at various opportunities in the exhibition, and can contribute their own creativity to modern installations that pay homage to 1950s makeup,” the website said.
